Opal Bernice Graber, 97, of Seymour passed away at 4:48 AM on February 24, 2021 in Greentown, Indiana. Opal was born May 9, 1923 in Elkhart to Herbert and Miriam (Copenhaver) Roose. She married Elmer A. Graber on July 10, 1943 in Goshen; he preceded her is death on August 17, 2000. She and Elmer moved to Jackson County in 1974.

Opal was a member of Reddington Christian Church, she and Elmer had a Farm Implement Dealership in Middlebury, and retired as a purchasing agent for Seymour Manufacturing Co. She was a member of the Gideons International Auxiliary for over 35 years, Widows Cracker Barrel Lunch Club and chaired the Missionary Committee at her church.

Surviving are daughters Doris (Jerry) Vanosdol, Nancy (Maurice) Crouch, Carol Feustel; 9 Grandchildren, Lisa (Pat) Beally, Lori Vanosdol, Kevin (Amy) Vanosdol, Jason (Heather) Vanosdol, Jennifer (Randy) Voils, Jeremy (Kim) Crouch, Julie Wright, Michele Richard, Michael Feustel; and 19 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren and sister Alice “Pauline” Swinehart.

She was preceded in death by both her parents, her beloved husband of 57 years Elmer A. Graber, infant son Carl E. Graber, brother Carl Roose, sister Anna Belle Weldy, an infant sister Vera Mae Roose and son-in-law George Feustel.

Opal loved spending time with her family, volunteering with her church family, collecting Fiestaware, and playing cards.

Private family services will be held at Reddington Christian Church with Pastor Scott Brown officiating, conducted by Voss & Sons Funeral Service. A private burial will follow at Reddington Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be directed to Gideons International or Reddington Christian Church.
