Anchor House Family Assistance Center and Pantry has opened an overnight shelter at 326 Dupont Drive, Seymour.

The nonprofit organization is seeking volunteers to help at the shelter from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. (or any portion therein) and provide support to staff onsite.

Anyone interested in committing to one night a week, a couple of nights a month, a few hours or any other portion of time should contact Lindsay Sarver at 812-522-9308 or [email protected].

COVID-19 protocols are in place, and masks are expected to be worn by all staff members, volunteers and clients while in the building.

Anchor House also needs ongoing food pantry volunteers, drivers to pick up donations weekdays from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday through Friday and monthly volunteers to sort and organize donations. If you are interested, call 812-522-9308.
