Junior Maren McClure showed signs she is peaking at the right time for the Seymour girls swim team in sectionals Thursday clocking the fastest time in the 100-yard butterfly preliminaries.
McClure, who recorded a time of 1 minute, 2.99 seconds in the event hosted by Floyd Central, and the Owls compete in the swimming and diving finals this afternoon.
Senior Sandy Cerino was fourth in the 50-yard freestyle in 26 seconds, fourth in the 100 free in 56.99 and swam legs on the 200- and 400-freestyle relays that finished fourth and third, respectively.
