Koch named Senate Judiciary Committee ranking member

State District 44 Sen. Eric Koch, R-Bedford, has been appointed by Senate President Pro Tem Rodric Bray, R-Martinsville, to serve as ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee for the 122nd Indiana General Assembly.

Koch also will serve as ranking member of the Senate Committee on Commerce and Technology and as a member of the Senate committees on Corrections and Criminal Law; Elections; and Family and Children Services. He also serves as chairman of the Senate Committee on Utilities.

The legislative session ceremonially began Monday.

Koch is an attorney with the law firm of Koch McAuley and Bailey P.C. and serves Senate District 44, which includes Brownstown, Crothersville, Medora and Seymour in Jackson County and all or parts of Bartholomew, Brown, Lawrence and Monroe counties.
