UPDATED AT 11:30 p.m.

The northbound lanes of Interstate 65 near the 44 mile marker have reopened after a wreck involving a vehicle that rolled over several times and caught fire, said Sgt. Stephen Wheeles with the Indiana State Police Versailles Post.

A motorist involved in the crash was briefly trapped in the vehicle and has been transported to Seymour to be airlifted to a regional hospital, according to scanner traffic.

Wheeles said the crash scene has been cleared.

Northbound traffic was diverted to U.S. 31 at Uniontown (Exit 41), and the wreck also forced police to close one of the two southbound lanes of the interstate, Wheeles said.
