SEYMOUR

Mr. William F. “Bill” Brooks, 71 of Seymour, passed away at home with his family by his side Thursday, December 24, 2020. He was born in Seymour to the late Hazel A. and Emma J. (Bush) Brooks.

Worship services will be conducted by Voss and Sons Funeral Service at Midway Apostolic Church on Tuesday 11:30 A.M. with Rev. Russell Rainey officiating.

Friends may view at the church on Tuesday after 9:30 am until time of service.

Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, with full military graveside rites conducted by VFW Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.

On April 12, 2014; he married Ramona (Anderson) Combs. He was employed as a semi-truck driver and his CB handle was Vietnam Veteran. He was a member of Midway Apostolic Church, lifetime member of the VFW, Knights of Pythia. His hobbies were fishing, playing bingo and being on the CB talking with all his trucking buddies.

He is survived by his wife, Ramona Brooks; son; Billy “Spanky” Brooks III wife Shana, step children;Tony Combs wife Michelle, Andy Combs, Mark Combs and Daniel Combs wife Heather; brothers, Frank Brooks and Roger Brooks, and sister Marilyn Berry, grandchildren; Shaylee, Baylee, Macaylee, and step grandchildren; Claire, Merrek, Alisen, Kristen, Hunter, Bryce, and Raymond.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, William F. Brooks II; brother, David Brooks; and sister, JoAnn Aynes.

In accordance with CDC guidelines, masks are required before admittance to the funeral home or church as well as social distancing within the building. We kindly ask that there be no physical contact such as hugs or handshakes to protect staff and the family. Attendance at the church is limited to church policy in accordance with CDC guidelines.
