Mr. Jack Hatfield, Jr., age 72, of Columbus, Indiana and formerly of Seymour entered this life on February 25, 1948 in Kentucky. He was the son of the late, Jack C. and Lorraine Hatfield. He was raised in the Seymour community and was united in marriage to Charlotte Jean Robinson on April 28, 1969. This union was blessed with a daughter, Buffy and a son, Chad. He worked early in life for Arvins and then later for Cummins Engine Company. On April 4, 1991 Jack was united in marriage to Debra Ann Allman Meeks. He resided in Wichita, Kansas from 1978-1993. He had resided the past 17 years in Columbus, Indiana. Jack liked hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Jack died on Friday, December 18, 2020, at 2:35 p.m. at the Appalachian Regional Healthcare in Hazard, Kentucky. Jack will be missed by his loving daughter, Buffy Smith and her husband, Richard of Seymour, Indiana; his loving son, Chad E. Hatfield of Seymour, Indiana; his step sons, Todd Meek of Wichita, Kansas, Tim Meek of Montana; his grandchildren, Donovan Smith (Heather), Darrion Smith, Taylor Hatfield, Lilly Hatfield, Evan Hatfield, Brittany Meek and Brandon Meek; his great grandchildren, Emerson Smith, Silver Hatfield, and Journey Hatfield; his sisters, Betty Pierce of Wichita, Kansas, Patty Sons of Seymour, Indiana; his brothers, Bill Hatfield of Seymour, Indiana, Lee Allen Hatfield of Wichita, Kansas; his half brother, Johnny W. Hatfield of Oklahoma; several nieces, nephews and other relatives, ; . He was preceded in death by father, Jack C. Hatfield, died February 25, 1993, his step mother, Alma Jo Pearce Hatfield, died May 1983,his mother, Lorraine Hatfield, his wife of 21 years, Debra Ann Allman Hatfield, died February 17, 2012, his brother, Robert “Bob” Hatfield and Larry Hatfield, his sister, Judy Taylor and his half sister, Carol Hatfield Barnes. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at 1:00 p.m., by Darrion Smith at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery in Seymour, Indiana. Friends may visit Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at the Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Indiana.
