Seymour house fire leaves significant damage

The cause of a fire that left a Seymour mobile home heavily damaged Thursday morning remains under investigation.

Hamilton Township Volunteer Fire Department initially responded to the blaze, reported at 8:20 a.m., at the home at 94 E. County Road 400N, Seymour. They were later joined by firefighters from Brownstown Township, Driftwood Township and Pershing Township volunteer fire departments.

No one was injured in the fire at the mobile home owned by Peggy and Gary Carmichael.

Personnel from Jackson County REMC and Jackson County Highway Department also assisted at the scene.
