Crothersville boys basketball in quarantine

The Crothersville boys basketball team has gone into quarantine, suspending game and practice activities until Dec. 28.

The Tigers’ situation is an off-shoot of the team’s recent game versus Borden. Since the contest, several Borden players tested positive for the coronavirus.

"The Crothersville boys basketball team is quarantined due to contact tracing from playing Borden," said Crothersville athletic director Jacob Dunn. "They have had a few positive cases on their team after playing us."

The Tigers lost to Borden in a home game Dec. 12.

Dunn said scheduled games against New Washington and Orleans have been postponed and he is working to-reschedule them.

Although during the COVID-19 pandemic schedules have been disrupted, the Crothersville girls was set to host West Washington at home Thursday night, is at Southwestern Hanover Saturday, and has South Central at home Monday.

The Lady Tiger Classic tournament of Dec. 26 is still on as of now.
