Medora basketball faces quarantine after hoops win

The Medora boys basketball team has gone into quarantine and will not resume practice or game activities until Dec. 28, according to athletic director Kara Hunt.

This development resulted in tonight’s game against Shoals being called off, a game that had been re-scheduled already because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Hornets enter this enforced break with a 1-3 record, including their first win, achieved over the weekend when defeating Martinsville Tabernacle, 56-42.

Medora’s leading scorer in that victory was Braxton McCory with 22 points. Shepard Earl was right behind with 20 points. David Persinger added 12 points. The only other Hornet scorer in that game was Mariah Cobb with 2 points.
