Brownstown Central’s Jack Benter and Trinity Lutheran’s Bailey Tabeling were nominated as the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association players of the week for District 3, it was announced Tuesday.

They were noticed for their performances during the week between Nov. 30 and Dec. 5.

Benter, a freshman, had games of 26 and 29 points for the Braves on the boys side. Evansville Bosse junior Julian Norris was the district’s boys winner.

Tabeling, a sophomore guard for the Cougars, turned in a 36-point performance against Jeffersonville that matched her career high. Shelbyville sophomore Kylee Edwards was the girls weekly winner.
