Donald Hubert Russell, 82, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on December 3, 2020 at home. Born in 1938. He was the son of Charlie Russell & Hellen Johnson. He married Linda Lou Hatton December 5, 1970. He was born and raised in Seymour, Indiana. He attended Seymour High School and joined the Navy at the age of 17. He served 4 years in the US Navy with the Atlantic Fleet from 1955 -1959. Aboard the destroyer USS Benham DD796 as a gunner’s mate. He was employed by Borden Ink Company located at Weyerhaeuser, Kitchen Aide & Aisin USA.

Donald liked to hunt, fish, pitch horseshoes & play softball. He loved to spend time with the love of his life, Linda, his 6 children and all his grandchildren. He really enjoyed watching all of them in their activities. He also enjoyed spending time with his extended family and friends.

He loved GOD, his family, friends, house dogs, Milo & Maggie and hunting dogs, Trixie & Barney.

Donald is survived by his sons; John (Vivian) Vinson, Donald E Russell, Jeff (Ann) Wilson, Joe Wilson, Mike Russell and daughter Penny Russell, grandchildren; Ally Russell, Taylor Russell, John Andrew (Colleen) Vinson, Jordan Vinson, Jordan Dalton, Kelly Dalton, Bobby (Shana) Wilson, Megan (John) Roberts, Gunner Wilson, Deacon Wilson and Brandon (Liz) Wilson, great grandchildren; Easton, Theodore, Maisie, Lane, Lincoln, Nova, Barrett & Maverick, sister Bonnie (Russell) Durham, brother Butch Maxwell, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Linda & brother, Charles Russell.

The family will accept friends to walk through Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Monday from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m.

The family appreciates all the prayers and concern for them in this time of loss. Don will be missed by many friends in the community, but funeral services are private for the safety of the family and friends. Cards and notes of condolence will be most welcome.

In accordance with CDC guidelines, masks are required before admittance to the funeral home as well as social distancing within the building. We kindly ask that there be no physical contact such as hugs or handshakes to protect staff and the family. Attendance is limited to 25 people at any given time.
