Ford Motor Company Fund is teaming up with Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky-area dealerships to distribute free medical-grade face masks to the public Thursday.

The dealerships, including Bob Poynter Ford Inc. at 1973 E. Tipton St. in Seymour, and local nonprofits in the Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky area, are receiving 319,200 face masks to distribute to members of their communities.

Area residents are invited to stop by any of the 20 local Ford dealer in southern Indiana and Kentucky between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Thursday to pick up 20 disposable face masks (while supplies last) produced by Ford and the United Auto Workers.

Ford is reinvesting proceeds from sales of ventilators to produce and deliver 100 million masks to at-risk communities across the United States, according to a news release from the company.
