DEPUTY
Cathy J. Gardner, 62, of Deputy, IN, passed away at 7:36 AM on Monday, November 23, 2020 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY. Cathy was born Saturday, April 12, 1958 in Seymour, IN. She was the daughter of Granville Hollin and Nova (Clark) Hollin who are both deceased. She was currently employed at Valeo for 31 years and was getting ready to retire in January. Cathy attended the Crothersville Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed playing bingo, shopping, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was a big jokester, a hard worker, and provided for her family. Cathy enjoyed traveling and vacationing with her sisters and the rest of her family. It was on her bucket list to visit every state. On June 10, 2000, she married Terry Lee Gardner who survives in Deputy, IN. Other survivors include, 2 sons, Chris (Tammy) Johnson of Crothersville, IN, Josh (Brittany) Johnson of Jasper, IN, 2 stepsons, Terry James Gardner of Terre Haute, IN, Benjamin Scott (Amanda) Gardner of Scottsburg, IN, 10 grandchildren, Cheaney Johnson, Blake Johnson, Dakota Ryan Johnson, Emma Gardner, Jeremy Gardner, Amelia Gardner, Kalie Gardner, Chylee Garnder, Zander Gardner, Alisha Jolly, 3 sisters, Rose (Ed) Taylor of Scottsburg, IN, Alvona (Gary) Harris of Crothersville, IN, and Debbie (Bob) Ely of Deputy, IN. Rev. Mark Wooten will conduct private funeral services at 11:00 AM on Saturday November 28, 2020 at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville, IN, with burial to follow at Crothersville Cemetery. Friends may visit on Friday, November 27, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Crothersville and after 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home. Please follow the CDC’s recommendations and guidelines while attending visitations and the funeral service, face masks are required per state mandates.
