The Brownstown Central’s girls varsity and junior varsity basketball games scheduled to be played tonight versus Loogootee have been canceled due to coronavirus problems with the visiting squad.

Originally, the JV was due to start at 6 p.m. and the varsity at 7:30. At first, Loogootee requested cancellation of the junior varsity game with plans to play the varsity contest, starting a half-hour earlier.

However, later Thursday, the school informed Brownstown officials it could not play either game due to COVID-19 pandemic concerns.

The Brownstown varsity is currently 3-0 on the season.

Also, the start time for the Trinity Lutheran girls varsity hosting Crothersville has been changed to 7 p.m. Saturday.
