Rob Ent was born on March 14, 1967 in Lawrenceburg, In, and he went to be with the Lord on November 11, 2020 at Norton’s Hospital in Louisville, Ky.
Rob is survived by his daughter Shaylee (Doodles/Bug), son Devin, parents John (Randy) and Patricia “Burkett” Ent, a brother Chris (Melody) Ent, sister-in-law Mirna Ent, 3 grandchildren, his nieces & nephew, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was proceeded in death by his son Tyler Ent, his youngest brother Paul (Andy) Ent, grandparents Omer & Peggy Burkett and Paul & Martha Ent, uncles Capt. William Omer Burkett, USAF, Robert W. Burkett, and aunt Sue Bessler. He was also proceeded in death by his former wife and the mother of his children, Vicki Helbig.
Rob was a loving son, a great brother, and a fantastic uncle, but above all else he was a tremendous father to Shaylee. Most people, however, will remember him as an extremely proud vet and for his passion as a chef. One of his favorite rolls as a chef was working side by side with his youngest brother Andy while traveling and cooking for Eric Church on his tour. Rob also was becoming quite passionate about fishing. In fact, he had recently gone on a fishing retreat with his mother and was planning to go back at his earliest opportunity. He enjoyed cooking for the men during the Emmaus walks when he had the chance, and one of his absolute favorite things in life was going to the mountains in Eastern Kentucky and cooking for all the people there on Mission Trips.
Rob was loved by everyone that knew him and will be sorely missed by countless people. In lieu of sending flowers as a tribute, I know he would appreciate your consideration of making a small donation to Meridzo Ministries out of Lynch, Ky.
Visitation will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Sunday from 3p.m. to 5p.m. with a Masonic service at 5:30p.m., and Monday after 12 noon at Central Christian Church until time of service. (family requests that mask be worn at all time both at Voss & Sons Funeral Service and the Central Christian Church)
Funeral Service will be at Central Christian Church Monday 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jon Carlstrom and Rev. Rick Grant officiating.
