The Seymour Chamber of Commerce is planning the Festival of Trees from 6 to 8 p.m. Nov. 28 during the Home for the Holidays event.

This provides an opportunity for businesses, civic groups, service clubs, churches, schools and social groups to promote themselves to the community.

Submit an entry form and $25 registration fee to the chamber office, 105 S. Chestnut St., Seymour, no later than Nov. 20. Entry forms can be downloaded online at business.seymourchamber.com/events/details/2020-seymour-chamber-festival-of-trees-10736.

Pick a theme for your artificial tree and get creative. Provide all decorations and a tree skirt, and the chamber will provide power cords.

Tree setup times will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 16 through 20 and Nov. 23 and 24.

The public will be invited to view and vote on trees throughout the holiday season. First-, second- and third-place trees will be recognized.

Tree takedown times will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 28 through 30, and the trees will be sold via a silent auction.

Proceeds from the auction will go to a local charity chosen by the first-place winner.
