Daniel Lynn “Dan” Hall, 67 of Brownstown, passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Seymour on January 24, 1953, the son of the late Glenn and Rettia (Fleetwood) Hall.

Dan is survived by his loving wife, Karen Jo “Jody” Weesner whom he married on August 14, 1982.

Dan attended Clearspring School and graduated from Brownstown Central High School in 1971. He was baptized as a teenager in the spring of 1967. He attended Norman Christian Church and transferred his membership to Brownstown Christian Church on November 3, 1996. Dan worked in retail for 51 years until he retired from Martin & Bayley Inc. Convenience Stores in May of 2020 after managing the Huck’s Food & Fuel in Brownstown for 11 years. Since 2001, he served as a dedicated board member of the Brownstown Central Community School Corporation for 20 years. Dan was a big fan of IU Basketball, as well as a NASCAR and dirt track racing enthusiast. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, river rafting and off-roading in the many Jeeps he owned over the years. He loved his hometown of Norman, Indiana. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and a dear friend to many. He was really looking forward to becoming grandpa to his future grandson, Miles Daniel Hall. He adored the family dog, Snoopy and his grand-dogs, Winston, Ellie, Wrigley and Kika.

He is survived by his wife, Jody, their children, Jonathan Daniel (Kelsey) Hall of Medora and Chelsie Lynn (Cameron) Skurka of Columbus; grandson, Miles Daniel Hall expected in February of 2021; one brother, Jerry D. (Carolyn) Hall of Norman; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Larry Kenneth Hall and one sister, Judith Karen McKinney.

Services will be conducted Saturday, October 31, 2020, at 11:00 am at Brownstown Christian Church in Brownstown, Indiana. Friends and family may call at the church on Friday from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Saturday after 10:00 am until time of service. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown. All arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff of Winklepleck & Brock Funeral Home in Brownstown. Due to Covid-19, we continue to follow CDC Guidelines which stipulate that face masks and social distancing are required at all times during visitations and services.

Memorials may be made to the BCHS Fellowship of Christian Athletes “Shed For You” Project or Brownstown Christian Church (for meals and shut-ins) through Winklepleck & Brock Funeral Home.
