INvestEd will be available to assist students and families with filling out and filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Seymour High School, 1350 W. Second St., Seymour.

Families should bring any tax and income information for both the student and parents to complete the application during the workshop.

A financial aid specialist will be there to answer any questions from students and parents.

Students and parents are encouraged to create their FSA ID at fsaid.ed.gov/npas/index.htm before the workshop. The student will create his or her ID, and one parent will create his or her ID.

Students also are being asked to bring their Chromebook, but there will be some Chromebooks for those who need a device.

INvestEd, an Indiana nonprofit, has been helping families for 40 years understand postsecondary education costs and find ways to pay for college, according to a news release.

Families anywhere in Indiana can speak to an INvestEd expert about questions they have while completing the FAFSA application by calling 317-715-9007.
