The Jackson County Public Library board of trustees approved the 2021 budget during its regular meeting Monday at the Seymour Library.
The library’s 2021 operating fund budget is $2,646,536. This year’s adopted budget was $2,587,493. The certified tax rate for this year is 0.0917 per $100 of assessed value.
During the regular meeting, the board approved 2021 closing dates, 2021 board meeting dates, 2021 insurance rates and a new criminal background checks policy for staff and volunteers.
The board’s next meeting is at 5 p.m. Nov. 16 after a 4:30 p.m. executive session to discuss personnel at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.
