The Brownstown Street Department will start its curbside leaf pickup program today.

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, workers will pick up leaves on the east and west streets in town.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, they will pick up leaves on the north and south streets.

The program will run weather permitting.

Residents should rake leaves as close to the curb as possible without obstructing storm drains and ditches. No other debris, trash, limbs, etc. should be included.
