MUNCIE – Roberta Jane (Scott) Persinger, formerly of Anderson and Freetown, 71, passed away on Sunday morning, October 11, 2020 at Bethel Pointe.

She was born on October 9, 1949 in Seymour, the daughter of Clayton W. and Orpha M. (Ratcliff) Scott and graduated from Medora High School in 1966. On March 16, 1967, she married Marvin Lee Persinger at Ratcliff Grove Christian Church.

Roberta attended House of James Beauty School and worked at the salon in J.C. Penney’s in Anderson for several years before continuing her work out of her home for family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Marvin Lee Persinger of Muncie; two sons, Andrew Lee Persinger and James Alan Persinger, both of Muncie; one brother, Marion W. Scott (wife, Janet) of Seymour; one sister, Beverly Johnson (husband, Tom) of Seymour and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Cremation will take place and private burial will be held in Southern Indiana.
