Immanuel Guild conducts October meeting

Immanuel Lutheran Guild met Tuesday in the fellowship hall of the Seymour Church. President Joan Nichols called the meeting to order with 24 members present.

The Rev. Ralph Blomenberg gave the opening prayer and topic entitled “Where in the World?” He went on to explain to the group where the missionaries our church supports are in the world along with a brief description about each of them.

The secretary and treasurer reports were read and approved.

Birthdays for September and October were acknowledged, and nursing home visitations were discussed.

Connie Roeder thanked the members for their pecan orders and stated that pecans should be picked up at the November meeting.

Becky Boas reported on the upcoming Christmas Party.

Hostesses Carolyn Alberring, Jan Blomenberg and Barb Otte served the refreshments.

Pat Nicholson closed with an autumn prayer.

The next meeting will be 7 p.m. Nov. 3.
