Within 20 minutes in The Nest at Seymour High School, it’s evident Tasha Rieckers is in high demand.
As a technology specialist at the school, Rieckers’ job is to solve technology-related problems that students and staff run into on a daily basis.
It may be as simple as resetting a student’s password because they can’t log in or replacing a missing arrow or letter key on a keyboard. Sometimes, it’s the whole keyboard that needs replaced or a cracked screen or broken track pad. Other times, the battery won’t charge.
No matter how simple or complex the problem may be, it’s a constant revolving door of students and teachers stopping by, calling or emailing Rieckers for help throughout the school day, anywhere from 10 to 15 a class period.
