A 10th Jackson County resident has died of COVID-19, according to the Indiana State Department of Health.

That death, which occurred Sept. 26, was reported on the Indiana COVID-19 Dashboard released at noon Tuesday. It covered positive cases, deaths and tests reported to the state through 11:59 p.m. Monday.

At that time, there had been 776 positive cases, including three Monday, of the novel coronavirus reported in the county. 

Statewide, 20 new COVID-19 deaths were reported Monday, bringing the total deaths to 3,385 since the first was reported March 16. The new deaths occurred between Friday and Monday. There also were 761 new positive cases reported, bringing the statewide total to 119,066.
