ALAMEDA, CALIFORNIA

The family of Shelly Diane (Sterling) Sutton, 41, formally of Seymour, is heartbroken to share her passing on September 12, 2020 in Alameda, California. Shelly was the daughter of Mary Ellen (Hardwick) Hall and the late Steven Mark Sterling.

On September 24, 2011 in San Rafael, California, she married her loving husband, Jason Sutton.

Shelly was a 1996 graduate of Seymour High School and attended IUPUI in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was previously employed as Vice President of Human Resources for Streamline Events in Emeryville, California.

Shelly had a vivacious personality that lit up the room with an incredibly gentle and wonderful soul. Shelly was an amazing mother who loved her two little boys, Jaxson Everett and Wylie Jay, with all her heart. They were her inspiration and the joy of her life. Above all things, next to her children, family, and close friends, Shelly loved music.

Memories of Shelly will be cherished by those she leaves behind; her husband, Jason; her precious boys, Jaxson Everett Sutton (7) and Wylie Jay Sutton (3); her mother, Mary; her stepfather, Scott Hall; her sister Ashley Elizabeth (Hall) Baker; and her extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Steven; her maternal grandparents, James and Pearl Hardwick; and her paternal grandmother, Roseann Waters.

Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. with the Reverend Mark Sorrels officiating. Burial will follow at Hayden Cemetery. Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service.
