New Day Residents Encounter Christ is hosting a Jackson County prayer event at 2 p.m. Saturday outside the Jackson County Jail, 150 E. State Road 250, Brownstown.

Community members will gather around 1:45 p.m. and encircle the jail and be led in corporate prayer for staff and residents.

Attendees should park in the grass area to the right of the parking lot. Every effort will be made to practice social distancing of 6 feet. When social distancing measures cannot be maintained, wear a mask.
