MEDORA

Donald Guthrie, of Medora, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2020 at Hoosier Christian Village with his family by his side. He was 83 years old

Donald entered this life on September 13, 1937 in Sparksville, Indiana. He was forth oldest to the loving parents of Floyd and Nellie (Daulton) Guthrie. On July 20, 1957, Donald was united to Mary Rose (Guthrie) Guthrie. This union of 62 years was blessed with a son Troy.

Don retired from Cummins Engine Company after 40 years.

Don was a member Medora United Methodist Church, and a member of Medora Masonic Lodge 328 where he served as a Past-Master, and a member of the York Rite. He loved going hunting and fishing.

He was a loving father and grandfather to Rebecca and Mitchell

He leaves behind a legacy of love to his family, a son Troy Guthrie and his wife Teresa of Washington, IN, two grandchildren, Rebecca Blanton and her husband Bennett of Bristol, TN, and Mitchell Guthrie of Camp Pendleton, CA.

Don was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Christina Robison, for brothers, Henry Guthrie, Floyd Guthrie, Jr., Thomas Guthrie and Earl Guthrie.

Funeral service will be held at Medora United Methodist Church on Friday September 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Medora Methodist Church with Pastor Lennie Lawrence officiating.

Friends may visit at Hague Funeral Home of Medora on Thursday September 24, 2020 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 7:30 p.m., and on Friday after 10:00 a.m. at the church.

Burial will follow at White River Valley Cemetery.

Memorials may be written in Don’s name to the Parkinson Foundation
