State football playoffs

on pay-per-view

For the first time, the Indiana High School Athletic Association has approved a video-streaming format for semistate football championship games.

Two games in each of six classes can be seen on pay-per-view. The opportunity to watch the 12 games Nov. 20 can be purchased for $14.95 per game or $19.95 for all games.

Also, those interested will be able to see games through on-demand purchases after they are over.

Teams that win in each game will advance to state title games at Lucas Oil Stadium the next week.

In addition to the football option, the IHSAA will be producing state tournament pairing streaming shows for fall sports spread out over the coming weeks.

The first one is Monday night at 7 p.m. for Unified flag football. Boys tennis and girls tennis are planned for Sept. 28 at 7 p.m., though in separate streams, the same time and night boys and girls soccer will be streamed together.

Pairings for volleyball will be announced Oct. 4 at 8 p.m., and football pairings will be revealed Oct. 8 at 6 p.m.

After the conclusion of each show, sectional pairings will be made available to view online at IHSAA.org.
