Lillie Wessel pumped in two goals and the Seymour girls soccer team handled visiting New Albany, 4-1, Thursday night.

The Owls upped their season’s record to 4-1-1 as Haley Westfall and Maria Sebastian Francisco supplemented Wessel with their own goals.

Addi Chandler and Mallory Moore contributed assists in a game that coach Greg Musser thought was a superb effort.

"Played a pretty complete game tonight and possessed (the ball) for a majority of a game," Musser said. "Girls rose above the emotions of senior night and played another mature game. Happy coach."

The happy coach is concerned about some injuries that popped up, though Musser expects his bench to play a significant role.

"But we have the girls to not miss a beat," he said. "Next women up."
