Painting club to meet within forestry in Brownstown

Enjoy the outdoors, develop landscape painting skills and stay safe during Southern Indiana Center for the Arts’ Social Distance Painting Club.

This month’s meetings will be at noon Sunday at the Skyline Drive fire tower and noon Sept. 27 at Knob Lake. Both locations are within the Jackson-Washington State Forest in Brownstown.

Each session will allow participants to network with other artists and work on a new landscape scene.

Oil painting materials will be available to purchase from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays at the arts center, 2001 N. Ewing St., Seymour, or at each session. Travel easels are recommended but not required. SICA has some available for use.

There is a suggested donation of $20 per session.

This group will meet twice a month through the fall to capture the change of seasons.
