Immanuel Guild conducts September meeting

Immanuel Lutheran Guild conducted a regular meeting Sept. 1 in the fellowship hall at the Seymour church with President Joan Nichols presiding.

Vicar Will Fredstrom led the group in singing "Jesus Loves Me." He introduced himself and his wife to the group, followed by a brief devotion and prayer.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, members decided in the interest of safety to cancel the annual cookie walk this year. Pecan sales will go on, and members were asked to take up orders for nuts and present them at the next meeting. Anyone interested in ordering nuts should contact any guild member by Oct. 1.

Refreshments were served by the hostesses for the evening. They were Carol Denny, Mary Anne Jordan and Judy McKain. A door prize was won by Nichols.

The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 6.
