Another Jackson County resident has died from COVID-19, bringing the county’s total number of deaths related to the virus to nine.

The death was reported on the state’s COVID-19 dashboard updated at noon Monday. The death occurred Saturday.

In Jackson County, the positivity rate over the last seven-day period is 2.8%.

Overall, Jackson County has reported 699 total positive COVID-19 cases. A total of 6,486 county residents have been tested.
