COLUMBUS, Ind. — The Columbus Police Department is investigating a single vehicle fatal crash that occurred on Interstate 65 on Sunday night that claimed the life of a Seymour man.

At approximately 9:52 p.m., CPD officers responded to the southbound lanes of Interstate 65 near the 65 mile marker in regards to a single vehicle crash. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Demetrius A. Burnam, 36, Seymour, was deceased at the scene. The crash remains under investigation by Columbus Police Department crash reconstructionists.
