The family of Margery Alice (Sweany) Adams, 87, of Commiskey is saddened to announce her passing on August 26, 2020 at the Lutheran Community Home. Margery was born February 27, 1933 to parents Mearl Sweany and Jane (Parker) Sweany.

On March 15, 1952, Margery married the love of her life, Ira Adams. They shared 50 wonderful years raising a family together before his passing on March 7, 2003.

Margery was a member of Weston Baptist Church. She worked at Talon for several years, but she was most proud of being a farmer’s wife. Margery had many interests including gardening, flowers, sewing, yard sales and singing. Her favorite pastime by far was spending time with her amazing family.

Margery is survived by her loving sons; Jerry (Sylvia) Adams, Tony (Sandra) Adams, Rick (Sandra) Adams, and Dan (Sheila) Adams; 12 grandchildren, Jeannie Lawhead, Christine Benitos, Jeffrey Adams, Scotty Adams, Luke Adams, Libby Adams, Katherine Couch, Benjamin Adams, Laura Eggers, Wesley Adams, Jennifer Sorenson, and Jonathan Adams; 30 great grandchildren; and sisters, Florence Littell and Dorothy Williams.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ira; grandson, Timothy Adams; sisters Mary Luenebrink and Mabel Shake; and brother Francis Sweany.

Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Friday, August 28, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.

Funeral services will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. with Evangelist Tracy Killinger officiating. Burial will follow at Reddington Cemetery. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, we respectfully require face masks at all times.
