SEYMOUR
Mrs. Kathleen “Kathy” Kerkhof, 71, of Seymour, passed away August 22, 2020 at Schneck Medical Center.
Kathy was born in Seymour on April 26, 1949, the daughter of the late Roscoe and Bernice (VonDielingen) Christopher.
On September 1, 1973 she married Joseph Paul Kerkhof at Zion Lutheran Church in Seymour. He preceded her in death on October 13, 2009.
Kathy Graduated in 1967 from Seymour High School and Indiana University in 1971. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, White Creek. She was baptized on May 8, 1949 and confirmed on April 7, 1963 at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Dudleytown.
Kathy loved to spoil her grandchildren and attend all their functions. She was passionate about her lawn and loved to mow and work outside. She was a great cook and baker. She enjoyed anything that included her family.
Kathy will be greatly missed by her children: Kyle (Angela) Kerkhof, Eric (Amanda) Kerkhof and Emily (Ryan) Cremeans, grandchildren: Hannah and Drew Kerkhof, and Oliver, Isaac, Alex, and Ella Kerkhof. Evelyn, Joseph, Luke, and baby Cremeans.
She is also survived by her sisters, Betty Noel, Joyce Lucas, and Nancy (Jay) Cherry, and Denise (Mark) Nichols.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter, Kendra Kerkhof and a nephew, Christopher Nichols.
Family and friends are gathering at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. and at St. John Lutheran Church, White Creek on Wednesday after 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral. (Mask must be worn at both Funeral home and Church)
Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:30 AM on Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church, White Creek, with Rev. Justin Whitmore officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery.
