Brownstown tennis off to fast start

Brownstown tennis moves to 2-0

Brownstown’s tennis team handled two opponents, home and away, by 4-1 scores this week to kick off the season.

The Braves beat Jennings County on the road and then topped North Harrison at home.

Ethan Issacs protected No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Connor Euler to start the season and was just about as thorough versus North Harrison, with a 6-1, 6-1 triumph over Joe Davis two days later.

Ethan Davis took singles matches in both events while Connor Gwin split in singles, falling against North Harrison. Cole Shasteen and Grant Elliott won doubles against both foes. Reece Carlin and Griffin Stidham split their doubles matches.
