To the editor:

I am disappointed to report that the right to Freedom of Speech is no longer available in Seymour. Someone stole ours and our neighbor’s “Pro-American-Anti-Trump” signs from our front yards!

How extremely sad that in small town America the Constitution and Bill of Rights are no longer recognized! How petty, selfish, and small-minded that some people think only their way of thinking is relevant!

I realize American citizenship is hard. It is difficult for some to acknowledge and hear other’s ideas because it makes them feel stupid or worse that they might be wrong. Whatever happened to brainstorming to come up with the best solution? Whatever happened to compromising so most could live with the decision?

What will happen to the rest of America if small town America cannot live up to the ideals of OUR Constitution and Bill of Rights?
