SEYMOUR

E. Duane Aelick, age 92, of Seymour, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Rev. Aelick was ordained in 1955. He was a member of the Whitewater Valley Presbytery from 1955 to 1981, and he was a member of the Presbytery of the Ohio Valley from 1981 to his passing. In his younger years, he worked with The Salvation Army and also as a mechanic.

Sharing the good news of the Gospel and spending time with his family were the passions of his life. He also loved reading, studying history, and collecting HO scale models of trains and planes.

Born on June 6, 1928, in Chesaning, Michigan, he was the son of Earl and Mary Cook Aelick, both of whom preceded him in death.

On August 22, 1954, in Marion, Indiana, he married Dolores Helen Erskine and she survives him in Seymour.

Survivors also include two sons: James Warren (Elizabeth) Aelick of Indianapolis, and Joel Duane (Rebecca) Aelick of Charlotte, North Carolina; and three grandchildren: William Duane Aelick, Joshua Lloyd Aelick, and Justin Samuel Aelick.

A private family graveside service will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown. There will be a Witness to the Resurrection service at a later date.
