Mr. Lance D. “Pete” Williams, 91, of Seymour, passed away at his home on July 21, 2020. He was born in Columbus, Indiana on July 8, 1929 to the late William H. and Mary Peg (Brooks) Williams.

Pete lived most of his life in Jackson and Bartholomew counties. He retired after many years as a carpenter. He was a member of the American Legion in Seymour and enjoyed eating breakfast with the guys at the Townhouse Cafe. Pete always looked forward to throwing darts with White Creek Lutheran Church dart ball team.

Pete is survived by his children; Stella (Larry) Peters, Brenda (Phillip) Darlage, Duane (Dona) Williams, and Wayne Ward; grandchildren, Darrell (Jill) Williams, Ryan (Kelly) Williams, Christy Darlage, Curtis Darlage, Stacy Peters, and Jason Peters; great grandchildren Garrett, Gavin, Devin, Caleb, Eli, and Delaney; and sister, Barbara Fleenor.

He is preceded in death by his parents; his first wife JoAnn, the mother of his son; his second wife, Nancy; sister, Nancy Connell; and brother, Boyne Williams.

Funeral services will be held at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Ralph Blomenberg officiating. Friends and family may call on Saturday after 9 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, facemasks and social distancing are required while in the funeral home.

Family ask that memorials be designated to either Trinity Lutheran High School or Immanuel Lutheran School, honoring Pete, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
