James Loyd Lambert, Sr., 93, of Vallonia, died at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at his home. He was born on October 8, 1926 in Jackson County, IN to the late Hubert & Eva Lonsberry Lambert. He was a 1945 graduate of Medora High School and a WWII Army Veteran. James worked for 40 years at the Medora Brick Plant. He enjoyed hunting, trapping, and gardening.
James is survived by his companion of 39 years, Barbara Sue Wheeler Lindsey of Vallonia; his sons, James Jr. (Marjorie) Lambert of Vallonia & Jack (Debbie) Lambert of Seymour; grandchildren, Joan (David) Shuler, Tony Lambert, Jason (Amy) Lambert, Josh (Laura) Lambert, Jordan (Bethany) Lambert; great grandchildren, Zachary (Tressa) Vierling, Ashley (Rusty) Rogers, Sabrina (Alex) Jackson, Evan Shuler, Jackson, Sophia, Oliver, Henry, Jacob, Claire, Annabelle, and Abraham Lambert; sisters, Beulah Wheeler of Seymour, and Phyllis Clampitt of Medora; sister-in-law, Barbara Lambert of Medora.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Johnson Funeral Home, Vallonia with Pastor Ralph Blomenberg officiating. Friends may visit with the family Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will take place at the Vallonia Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be given to the Medora Brick Plant Restoration or to the Donor’s Choice.
