Connie S. Dickens, 79, of Seymour passed away at 10:37 pm Monday, July 13, 2020, at her home.

Connie was born in Bedford, Indiana January 13, 1941, the daughter of Kenneth and Norma Cross Dickens. She was a 1959 graduate of Columbus High School

She worked 10 years for Daniel Hayden Electric, Inc. and retired after 20 years as a bookkeeper for Hearth Plumbing, Inc. After retirement she worked 21 years for her daughter Jane at Little Friends Day Care & Pre School.

She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. Was an avid reader of all kinds of books, lover of all kinds of animals and loved being with her daughters and grandchildren; especially going on rides and walks in the country with her daughters, playing Trivia with grandson Ty, talking about sports with grandson Will, watching movies with granddaughters Mackenzie, Gaby and Tori, having lunches with brother Butch reminiscing about when they were kids, having supper and gossiping with sister Pam .

She is survived by daughters, Karen Ann (Chris) Taylor of Brownstown and Jane Rae (Kenny) Gray of Seymour; brother, Donald “Butch” Dickens of Bloomington; sister, Pamela Dickens of Columbus; grandchildren, Mackenzie Taylor of Southport, Gabriella Taylor of Brownstown, Ty, Tori and Will Gray of Seymour; nephews, Chris (Alicia) Dickens and David Dickens of Bloomington.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister-in-law Ann Dickens.

Funeral service will be conducted 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Myers~Reed Chapel on 25th Street. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to service time. Please abide by social distancing rules and masks are required in the funeral home. Burial will be with her family in Garland Brook Cemetery.
