
A 35-year-old Jackson County man was arrested Friday for dealing in methamphetamine as the result of an on-going investigation by Seymour police.
Benjamin Christopher Wheeler was booked into the Jackson County Jail in Brownstown at 12:05 p.m. on a preliminary Level 5 charge of manufacturing/dealing methamphetamine.
According to a news release from Seymour Lt. C.J. Foster, police also found marijuana while searching Wheeler during his arrest and also was found he was wanted on a Jackson Circuit Court warrant for probation violation in connection with a theft conviction.
A Level 5 felony is punishable by one to six years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
