John Alva Ray, 78 of Seymour, Indiana passed away July 5th, 2020. John was born in New Albany, Indiana on November 7th, 1941 to the late James Floyd Ray and Celia Frances Devers Ray.

John was a graduate of Clear Springs High School in Jackson County, Indiana. He joined the United States Army and served as a paratrooper.

John is preceded in death by his parents, James Floyd Ray and Celia Frances Devers Ray; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

He leaves to cherish his memory his 4 children; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and a host of other family including cousins, nieces and nephews.

He also had great friends and people who cared enough to help him in his last days! The family cannot thank you enough. Unfortunately there will be no service per his wishes. He will be greatly missed.
