Shirley A. Kreutzjans, 69, of Columbus, passed away at 11:12 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at the Four Seasons Healthcare Center.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 13, 2020, at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, in Columbus. Rev. Chris Wadelton will Officiate. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2020 with the Rosary Service being conducted at 3:30 p.m. at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Social distancing and masks are required.

Born on December 5, 1950, in Seymour, Shirley was the daughter of Richard and Rosemary (Daeger) Kreutzjans.

After graduating in 1969 from Jennings County High School, Shirley began her career with Cummins, Inc., she retired after 35 years. She worked more recently with the Phillips Company for 13 years. Shirley was a member of the choir at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and had sang at Old Nashville Opry. She played in the Jeff and Shirley Band. Most of all, Shirley cherished spending time with family.

Shirley is survived by brothers, Gene (Donna) Kreitzjans of North Vernon, Tim (Pamela) Kreutzjans of Holton, and Leon (Loretta) Kreutzjans of North Vernon; sisters, Rita (Steve) Elmore of Scipio, and Judy (Bill) Hester of Holiday, FL; Fourteen nieces and nephews; twenty-seven great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Rosemary Kreutzjans; sister, Cecilia Raisor; brother, Gary Kreutzjans.

Memorials can be made through the funeral home to St. Ann’s Cemetery Fund, St. Bartholomew’s music department, or Susan Komen for the Cure.
