The Anchor House Family Assistance Center and Pantry board of directors has decided to postpone the annual golf outing fundraiser until 2021.

During these changing times because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the nonprofit organization has decided to do a fundraiser via Facebook.

A "Donate" button has been added to the homepage at facebook.com/ahfamilyassistancecenter. People are invited to donate through that link or have a birthday fundraiser on their own Facebook pages.

No amount is too small as $5 will feed a family, and Facebook allows people to set up an ongoing monthly donation, too.

"Let’s see what we can do to help the food insecure in Jackson County," the organization posted on its page. "Over 40% of our clients the past four months are new to Anchor House, and we can use your support."
