Jackson County Public Library book discussion groups plan to gather virtually to discuss book themes, writing styles, characters and more in July.

Books are available to borrow curbside delivery at the Seymour, Crothersville and Medora libraries.

The Tuesday Night Book Club will meet at 7 p.m. July 14 and discuss a book via Zoom. Information Services Manager Janet Hensen will lead the review of “The World That We knew” by Alice Hoffman.

Register at myjclibrary.org/events to be sent an invitation to this program. Use Zoom from a computer (zoom.us) or download the free app Zoom Cloud Meetings on a phone or tablet from the app store. An email is required for participants to receive a login to the program. If participants do not have an email, they should call 812-523-4636 to request the login.

Book reviews by library staff will be posted on the library’s Facebook page at 6 p.m. July 15, 11 a.m. July 17 and 5:30 p.m. July 27. Videos are posted with a link to the library’s YouTube channel, which can be accessed at any time.

A new virtual book discussion group will be available for teens and adults through Facebook. Join Book It! at facebook.com/groups/3085051588218685 for health tips, to share recipes or your run and discuss a book through a Facebook event on the fourth Thursday of each month.

Information Services Clerk Hillary Pacheco will post to the group several times weekly and facilitate the online discussion of "How It Feels to Float" by Helena Fox on July 28.
