Norma Jean Settle, 93 Cloverdale, passed away June 20, 2020.

Norma was born on September 1, 1926 in Owen County, IN to William and Bernice (Jobe) Walbring.

She graduated from Cloverdale High School in 1944.

Norma worked for the Indiana State Police and Premier Angus. Norma enjoyed game shows, especially Jeopardy and Family Feud and working crossword puzzles. She enjoyed watching football and college basketball games. During her son’s high school years, she, along with several other mothers spent the majority of time in the bleachers. Norma loved animals and through the years she had several dogs and cats. She also loved to mow and work outside but most of all she loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, sister (Isla Crick), niece (Diane Query), Nephew (William Allen Crick), and great niece (Sarah Geswein).

Norma is survived by her son Jeff (Sherry) Settle, grandchildren Kevin Settle and Kourtney (fiance Tyler) settle, a niece Susie Crick, great niece Jana (Bruce) Grimes and great nephew Jim Markus and Jobe (Debbie) Crick.

Services will be held on Thursday, June 25th, 2020 at 1:00pm at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.

Visitation will be Thursday from 11am until time of service at 1:00pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Poland Chapel Cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.whitakerfuneralhome.net
