Library adding more services

The Jackson County Public Library is adding more services starting Monday.

Each day, a limited number of computers will be available at each location to reserve for a 45-minute appointment by calling the Seymour, Crothersville or Medora library. Each library also is setting appointments every 10 minutes for photocopier use and faxing documents.

During this phase of reopening, appointments will be available by calling the Seymour Library at 812-523-4636, Crothersville at 812-793-2927 and Medora at 812-966-2278. Not available in this phase are laminating, collection browsing, children’s area, Friends sales and public restrooms.

Staff, computer users and other library visitors are required to wear masks in the libraries. When someone has an appointment, they will call the library and speak with a staff member so they can let them in the building.

Each library will continue to offer curbside material pickup during this phase. Library users should call staff to place holds or place holds through the online catalog at evergreen.lib.in.us.

Limited hours during this phase are:

  • Seymour: Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 to 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Crothersville: Monday through Friday 2 to 6 p.m. and Saturday 1 to 4 p.m.
  • Medora: Thursday 2 to 6 p.m. and Saturday 1 to 4 p.m.

Due to already scheduled carpet replacement, the next phase of reopening is tentatively set to resume July 6.
