SEYMOUR

Daniel Wayne Abell, 46, of Seymour, died unexpectedly at his home at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2020. He was born in Seymour, IN on October 5, 1973 to Gary W. Abell of Kokomo and Patricia C. Burns (Warren) Lucas of Seymour.

He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. Daniel was a disabled Veteran of the United States Army and was a past member of the American Legion, VFW, Moose Lodge and ABATE.

He married Tina Jansen Abell on October 22, 2013 and she survives in Seymour.

Daniel formerly owned Empty Pockets Pool Hall in Seymour. He was a great family man, loved riding Harleys, playing pool and cards, having cookouts and was a great chef.

Other survivors include his children, Andrea Sons, Nicholas Wayne & Seth Lee Abell; step- children, Shelby & Stevie Combs; brothers, David Fields, Jesse W., Matthew D., & Aaron Abell; sisters, Amanda (Corey) Dingess & Marlena (Steven) Shelton; step-grandchildren, Addison, Lyla Mae & Emma Combs, Sampson Newkirk & Clayton Phillips; nieces & nephews, Andrew, Noah & Haley Dingess, Katelynn Snowden & Layla Shelton; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Daniel was preceded in death by 2 sisters-Johnna Lee Hollin & Rebecca Abell Lawrence and grandparents-Herman Eugene & Rose Marie Abell & Kermit & Redith Burns.

A Graveside service for Daniel will be held at the Vallonia Cemetery on Monday, June 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Joseph Barlau officiating. Burial and a military graveside service will follow. Memorial contributions may be given to Johnson Funeral Home.
